         <title>Gupta/Maurans Comparison</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>One similarity between &nbsp; Persia and the Gupta was that they would tax their people. In the Gupta empire they would have&nbsp; high taxation to support the governement. In persia they would tax the people on forein good that were brought from the royal road. A differnce between Persia and The Gupta and Mayurans is that they traded in different roads. The Gupta and mayruan used the silk road to trade goods and buddism  while Persia used the Royal road to spread religion and goods.</div>]]></description>

An example would be in China, they traded goods such as monopolized textiles like silk while in Greek (Athens)&nbsp; they traded monopolized olive oils and wine.</div>]]></description>

A difference between them is that Rome focused way more on trade then Greece, Greece found trading to be degrading. Also Rome and Greece used slaves as labor. Also, both Persia and the Hellenistic empire had maritime trade, its center being Alexandria, which held 1,200 ships. In Persia, maritime trade centered in the Persian gulf and the Red Sea. </div>]]></description>
