Germany wanted to regain military power by increasing its army to 36 divisions and build up its airforce&nbsp;<br>Consequnces: France, Britain, and Italy created a coalition to prevent Hitlers intentions to rearm Germany. The coalition later dissolved shortly after Italy invaded Ethiopia. </div>]]></description>

Border incident&nbsp; between the two was enough for Italy to invade.&nbsp;<br>Consequences: Contributed to international tension between fascist states and western democracies. Italy ingored sanctions, quit the league of nations and fully occupied and annexed Abyssinia</div>]]></description>

Proposed by British Foreign Secretary Samuel Hoare and French Prime Minister Pierre Laval which aimed to end the Second Italo-Ethiopian War.<br>Consequnces: Offered to partition Abyssinia which helped Mussolini turn the country into an Italian colony. Also showed how Britian and France were willing to undermine the Leauge to protect their own interest. </div>]]></description>

Marco Polo Bridge incident of July 7, 1937, when shots were exchanged between Chinese and Japanese troops on the outskirts of Peking. <br>Consequences:<strong> </strong>Nanking, the Nationalist capital, fell in mid-December 1937, this event was known as the Nanking massacre. Start of WW2 in the Asian Theater. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Causes: Treaty of Versailles forbade Germany from stationing armed forces in a demilitarized zone in the Rhineland.&nbsp;<br>Consequences: Hitler would be able to position his troops closer to the French border which would be useful in the war. It allowed Germany to persue a policy of aggression that was blocked because of the Treaty. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>An attempt to bring out a state of peace. In history it is known as British prime minister Neville Chamberlain's failed attempts too keep Hitler from starting WWII<br>Causes: British prime minister Neville Chamberlain wanted to keep Adolph Hitler from starting World War II. People were trying to make agreements because they didn't want another World War.&nbsp;Other countries like France were also not willing to go through the amount of damage a world war would cause. <br>Consequences: Hitler continued to violate the Treaty of Versailles and nobody opposed him. Chamberlain was seen as a weak leader who allowed Nazism to spread in Europe. Germany rebuilt its military, "unification" of Austria and Germany, and the Czech government was forced to give up Sudetenland.</div>]]></description>
