Within the folder, they have their lesson plans written out and organized by unit. They then are able to "recycle" their lesson plans the following semester if they teach the same course. However, each semester they create a new folder with adjusted lesson plans in it. That way, they can go back and see what they changed / kept the same throughout the semesters. I like the flexibility with this and it also addresses an ongoing concern of mine: how does a teacher find the time to create lesson plans (including the essential reflective practice prior to the plan) and a corresponding visual aid to present with? I like the idea of visually creating my lesson plan next to my slides so that everything is together. I am searching for a third-party add-on that might give me that feature beyond making notes. For example, the objectives of an English 101x course remain relatively the same so she can reuse her Power Point on rhetorical strategies and rework it to fit the current students and material. She did mention that she tries to add in at least one new book / material every semester that keeps up with the current times so students don't feel like she's outdated. I know she has a priority of topics and ideas to include in her lessons which plays out with the timing and choice of materials, but this isn't always obvious to me.
