Tony Xu (“Xu”), Evan Moore, Andy Fang (“Fang”), and Stanley Tang created Palo Alto Delivery which had 8 different restaurant menus on the website. People could order by phone and pay a premium for them to deliver the food.  Their main focus was to create something that would help local restaurants. They went around asking close restaurants what their problems were and they came up with this as a solution. Each of the four founders worked as delivery drives for several other companies in order to understand all of the logistical work behind delivery.
