Team Building-Connection Board

futureprepd2 — 2025-07-07 14:31:24 UTC

Students designed a name tag and came up an object that was related to their favorite color. They shared to the group what the object was while everyone guessed the color. After everyone shared, each student made a connection to one other and will continue to make connections throughout the week.

Entry Event- Mystery Bag

futureprepd2 — 2025-07-07 14:31:24 UTC

Students received a gift bag with everyday items and rocks and minerals that relate to the driving question. They had to first sort them into categories and then use their noticing to make connections to explore what they are trying to solve for the museum this week.

Our Driving Question

futureprepd2 — 2025-07-07 14:31:24 UTC

Our driving questions is;

How can we create a fun hands-on traveling museum that tells a story of Michigan's rocks and minerals from deep underground to how we use them everyday?

Gaining Empathy

Need to Knows

futureprepd2 — 2025-07-07 14:31:24 UTC

Students created a need to know bank of questions that they will use to gain a better understanding of the driving question.

Gaining Insight- Museum Tour

futureprepd2 — 2025-07-07 14:31:24 UTC

Students got a behind the scenes tour of the Museum to see how exhibits come together.

How might we..

futureprepd2 — 2025-07-07 14:31:24 UTC

How might we make it easily movable, educational about rocks, tell a story about what it is used for, and show its location in Michigan?

Redirection/Clarification

REFLECTION- Authentic Audience

futureprepd2 — 2025-07-07 14:31:24 UTC

"Could all of the ideas been combined?"

"I would buy definitely buy the games and they should be in the museum's gift shop."

"I like how simple and creative the solutions were."

2025-07-08 16:28:19 UTC

Students drew 8 different solutions to solve the driving question.

Naming an Idea

2025-07-08 16:29:28 UTC

We grouped our ideas into like categories.

New Useful Feasible

2025-07-08 16:37:07 UTC

We rated each of our ideas on a scale of 1-10, in the categories of is it New, Useful, Feasible.

Setting the Stage- Day 2

2025-07-08 16:38:25 UTC
