I decided to wander off because the tower twinkles every hour for five minutes and we didn't see it from the ground yet. The main person in charge of everything was Mme. Waid. Mme. Waid lived in France for a while and then became a French teacher for Mooresville High School. She of course moved to the tech department as soon as I got to high school (shade). I did know her from when my sister had her in previous years, and she was still in charge of the travel club which put this whole trip together. She obviously understood the excitement to see the city from a first timer point of view and agreed to have everyone gather and watch. (Tears definitely ran down my face). The Tanawha Trail passes under the Linn Cove Viaduct on the Blue Ridge Parkway (as you can see in the background of the picture). I visit Lake Norman often to watch the sunset. Watching sunsets is one of my favorite things to do no matter where I am. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do, and experiencing it with some close friends was really amazing. This picture is from the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. We went a couple hours before it got dark so we could see Paris become alive at night.
