By being entrepreneurial, one can celebrate failures and learn from them, growing in experience.

What is the connection between the 4C’s & entrepreneurial thinking?
The four Cs, are similar to the foundation of entrepreneurial thinking. They are closely linked to each other, where without the other, one would likely not exist. Similar to a Venn Diagram, there are certainly differences but also many factors which they share, such as Problem Solving (critical thinking) and Communication, to others and yourself.

How would you define “innovation” ?
Innovation would be defined as the creation of a product, whilst using the 4 C's and the thinking of entrepreneurs. My first impressions about action project is a course that helps with subject selection and future planning. Nevertheless, this was not what I expected. I am looking forwards to working as a team. By working in a group, I will be able to develop my teamwork and possibly leadership.

Some concepts
Some concepts that I have learnt from the first few lessons involve public discussion and speaking. It also involves team communication and usages of the 4C's such as communication and creative and critical thinking. These activities allow me to approach problems with an open mind, thinking outside of the box and communicating within a team.

Biggest challenges
I think one of my biggest challenges will be public speaking. I will get quite nervous presenting to a larger audience and might stutter or get confused.

We focused on three different techniques from the toolkit that can be very effective in persuading for the spinoff project. 

- Anecdotes: They are short accounts of a real event told in the for of a very brief story. Our team used them to provoke an emotional or sympathetic response. Lily used an anecdote of her childhood. She was walking on a beach by his grandparent's house and saw a figure in the distance, a cute sea turtle choking on a piece of plastic on the beach. For our spinoff project I could also use this technique to bring up situations where the misunderstanding or unacceptance of one's culture has really hindered their identity and openness.

- Statistics and facts: statistics are numbers or facts that are used to provide convincing information. Our team used statistics to display the threatening statistics that are currently affecting the sea turtles. These statistics can bring awareness to the urgency and severity to awareness to any person no matter their understanding of the current topic. I could also do the same in the spinoff project where statistics that comes from different surveys can piece together an overall overview of everyone's current options et al. This way, everyone is able to understand an be more inclined to join our project and our overall cause.  

- Quotations and expert opinions: quotations are used when a presenter brings in some information from another person. sometimes an expert or from another article and 'quotes' what is said by someone else. Our team used expert opinions to show the severity of the current threat that plastic pollution proposes to the sea turtles. This way, the audience can side with someone who is most experienced in this area of concern. Surveys: Not only do surveys add more credibility to our claim, it also reassures consumers about their decisions in our product. Surveys within the school shows the relatability of people with our product within our direct target audience. 

Usage of slideshow and images: By using individual unique images, it can almost bring the delivery of the presentation as a cartoon or animation. This way, it can keep many entertained and attracted to what is being presented. Many people are visual learners, they may benefit more from more usages of interactive images.

By listening to others in the class, we were able to learn and critically consider the different aspects of what a pitch needs.

The class took turns presenting their shortened on minute script. This way, we were able to successfully consider critically about all the aspects that we covered and what others covered. 

After hearing the feedback for the first few statements:
That we needed to be louder and more engaging, 
We needed to not read off a script and memorise it, 
We needed to have more explanation about our product and service, 
We were able to collaborate and come together to develop the new effective 30 second pitch that we can use in the expo. Through developing materials and resources for the expo, it took a lot of teamwork and collaboration that we developed together. In the end, we were able to produce something that was engaging and meaningful due to our collaboration. 
Furthermore, I developed my communication skills to not only the members of my group however everyone in a class or an audience. The expo and pitches allowed me to consider what truly makes an engaging pitch that will attract everyone's attention whilst sharing them valuable and easily understandable information.

Firstly, creative thinking is key when creating eye-catching information posters such as infographics. This was used in the designing process of our posters and infographics and also the humour that was incorporated within our delivery process. 

Communication and collaboration was also important as we used these Cs to be able to put together a lot of things within a short period of time. through the use of collaboration I was able to work together with my team to create posters and infographics in the short periods of a few lessons. It will be foolish to assign everyone in the team with the same workload. Through distributing the work load in appropriate amounts my team was able to work out the good work regime that will be suitable for everyone. 
By breaking down the work for everyone's specialities, we were able to efficiently produce high quality products.   

Theruni focused on creating online products that includes graphic design. Furthermore, she distributed script for everyone showing whose parts are whose. 

I focused on researching and crafting handouts by drawing and folding the A3 and A5 papers. 

Uzair focused on writing an engaging script and putting the information on posters. I developed upon my communication and collaboration skills. Action project tasks were always assessed with a team, therefore by collaborating with new people, I learnt how to be a valuable team member. Through my collaboration skills, I learnt how to efficiently distribute workload, share and brain storm opinions. My communication skills developed as I learnt how to not only communicate effectively to my teammates however to a wider audience as well. 

My understanding of problem solving and design thinking changed drastically throughout the course. When I first approach unique tasks, I tend to think of one solution and work towards it, nevertheless I have now learnt how to brainstorm many different solutions and discuss with my group for the most effective outcome. Furthermore, apart from directly thinking of how the product will work, I have learnt to consider many other things such as business models, product viability, environment/health safety and also how engaging this product will be for the target audience. 

My communication developed as I was able to very efficiently discuss with my teammates when discussing workload, planning out and accomplishing tasks. Furthermore, my communication to a larger audience such as the whole class has improved as I learnt to be more confident without a script, answer questions on the spot and deliver an engaging and easy to interpret pitch. 

My collaboration has developed as I learnt my role within a team. When I am in a team, I will first discuss with my teammates about our talents and what we can offer individually. Next, I will collaborate with my team members in breaking down the tasks and what each person can do for the best outcome possible. 

My creativity developed as I learnt the best ways to come up with new and innovative ideas. The large variety of tasks leading up for INNOV8 has allowed me to practise relating many different unrelated and random ideas into one logical and applicable solution. By practising finding creative solutions to a large variety of things, I am able to brainstorm, connect and come up with many interesting solutions. 

My critical thinking has developed as I learnt how to be more considerate about my plans and ideas. Through the spin-off and INNOV8 development process I have learnt to think critically about the creative solutions I have come up with and consider all the options such as the impacts my solution has on the environment, society, economy, and how my product is better than existing others. 

The knowledge that I have built within this course will guide me in my future when I participate in a team environment. Furthermore, with my development in communication and critical thinking skills, I am able to pitch to my team or employer a critically thought out and effectively delivered idea.

A challenge that I faced within this course is openly suggesting my own opinions and ideas. During the start of action project as I was joining unfamiliar teams and people, I was quite nervous and thought people might not care or agree with my opinions. Nevertheless, I showed bravery and decided to just give it a shot and voice my own opinions and suggestions. Since term 3, I have gotten much more confident in giving my opinions and suggestions as I discovered that it wasn’t as bad as I thought and many people in reality are genuinely interested in listening and implementing what I had to offer.

One of the skills I learnt through this course that can be used in other learning experiences is how to make a presentation and pitch engaging. There are many ways of doing so, some that I learnt is how to incorporate engaging and interactive images during a presentation that can spark the audience’s interest followed by anecdotes and humour that will keep them interested. 

Through the action project, I was able to develop my understanding of my character strengths extensively as after each and every lesson and task, I will reflect on the 4Cs and consider which one I have used. I was able to learn how to effectively consider the character's strengths that I have developed after each task to further understand how effectively I have been developing my character.

Some of the key things I learnt about myself throughout the action project is my ability to adapt quickly and come up with new and innovative solutions for the problems I am facing. Being able to understand this concept has been very beneficial to my confidence in a group.
