If you multiply decimals it's the same as multiplying whole numbers just that you bring down the decimal, and it is very very important to line up your places. Also to say decimals in word form you say the number the and then the decimal number, for example two hundred and fifty three would mean 200.53 . In addition the decimal places are the same as whole number places but backwards, for example the first place in the whole numbers is ones places, decimals first place is tenths.

I know that decimals can Be used in number lines and that if you need to write the tenths place you need to add ( ths ) for an example if you're saying hundred than you need to add the ( ths ) at the end and then it would be hundreths.

A decimal is what is after the ones place. It has tenths hundredths and thousandths. Place value is where the numbers go. Like 99.9 9 is in the tens ones and tenths. Also the place value is multiplied by 10 each step up. If the tenths place is multiplied by 10 it will go into the ones place if that is multiplied by 10 it will be in the tens place and so on.
