So she got an idea to move to California to a nicer place. She came to the United States because she wanted a better life with my grandma and a better living situation because they were struggling in mexico. She didn't really have much and so she got most of her things and my grandma and she either went on a boat or she took something there like an airplane or a car. Some of the things that were happening during that time were post world war 2 boom, the dawn of the cold war, and the civil rights movements in the united states. This affected my family a lot because of the expansion of the capitalism and it made it difficult for my great grandma to get to the united states at that time so during this she stayed in mexico. And the scariest moment in my grandmas, and great grandmas life was the cold war, they did not even want to leave their house during that time.
