In the fight against the communist North Vietnam and the Viet Cong vs South Vietnam and the United States, millions of lives were taken including over 2 million vietnam civilians. America wasn't willing to commit to winning to the war and we eventually left , leaving south vietnam to be invaded by Communist forces. It is the only war that the U.S. has ever lost. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>On Friday, May 27th, 1988, The Redondo pier, known as Horseshoe pier at the time caught on fire. 140 firefighters from Gardena, Hawthorne and Redondo, Manhattan, and Hermosa Beach eventually stopped the fire before it could spread further. It was theorized that the electric equipment malfunctioned due to the waves pounding against the pier under the sea. No one was killed in the fire.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
