         <description><![CDATA[<div>There are few factors that can be a threat to the amazon ecosystem; for example, population pressure or the development of infrastructure. However, one factor that is becoming a serious problem in Ecuadorian Amazon rainforest is the deforestation. <br>As you can see from the map provided by WWF, the Rainforest area in Ecuador is colored in red - which means that the deforestation is becoming a very serious issue. Plants and trees of amazon rainforest is a source of nutrients to many animals. If the number of trees continue to decrease, the food chain can be violated. This could lead to the extinction of a species, which may cause another species to be endangered.</div>]]></description>

They have a same diet, so they compete for the food.<br>Another example of intraspecific competition is gorillas. Since they group a squad, gorillas fight for the property (land).<br>Finally, trees are also competing in order to get more nutrients.
