I will display a copy of this in my classroom so I can show my students which area we're learning about or working on, and to teach them about the different components needed to have reading comprehension.

This game is also a great way to encourage group work and collaboration.

I would use this game to aid students in knowing how to spell the word, but could then teach them what the word means in relation to a writing assignment. For example, I could pull words from this game, like 'Rhyme', and could then have the class work together to create a rhyme. This will expand their vocabulary, expand their schema on the words, and teach them the definitions of the words. By doing it in a "Headbands" style game, it makes learning enjoyable for the students and allows other classmates to give hints with closely related words or parts of the definition. This gives everyone the opportunity to become familiar with the word, the word's spelling, and the definition.

I would use the different games in this set to teach my English Language Learning students about different aspects of English, such as vocabulary words, how to ask questions, different verb tenses, and the singular versus plural versions of words.

I would use this in my classroom to encourage a calming, educational, and fun area for reading with a variety of books across a multitude of genres.

Students can read the magazines to learn about different creatures and ecosystems, but they can also visit the website to watch videos on a vast collection of topics, as well as play the educational games they offer. This will help students expand their schema on different subject areas and can help develop and expand their vocabulary.

I would use the recommendations from this article to ensure that I'm doing everything I can to help my students to be comprehensive readers. I would have decoding activities that use multisyllabic words, do reading activities to encourage and increase reading fluency, teach my students about things around the world and help them connect what we're reading about to things they already know, and offer them plenty of opportunities to read things that may seem difficult at first to encourage elaborative thinking.

I will display a vowel valley in my classroom to provide my students with an immediate resource to help them learn and remember the different ways to use their mouths to produce the phonemes.
