French Gardens are often sectioned off with tall hedges and topiaries. 

Topiaries are trimmed into shapes like balls or triangles to define the shape and growth of the plant and placed in rows of the garden and along the pathways. 

Trees with same species and identical are lined up nicely in a bousqet and they are trimmed in shape neatly after the grow tall.
