When I was little, all of my family loved sports growing up and loved to be active, but me, I was never into sports. I was more like the little girl who loved to sing, cook, dance and play with my mom. I never knew why they were so into sports. They also loved watching football and sports shows. One day, my sister put on a cheer show and at first, I was asking if she could turn it off, but then, it started to catch my eye. She started watching it a lot and since she was a cheerleader, I asked her if she would teach me some cheers. I soon then began looking more into sports and I loved it.

How does this relate to the theme?

This relates to the theme because it shows that when you have the patience with something you may think you don't like, you may end up actually liking it and become the greatest you can.

In the 6th grade at my old school, I was really only into track and basketball. I kinda got tired of basketball, so I took a break. I started getting bored and wanted to try a new sport, so I started looking into volleyball. It wasn't easy at all, and it was hard for me to even hit the ball. My mom began telling me I should just watch starter videos. I did not have enough patience to practice everyday, so I just took a break. In the summer time, I started practicing more and more everyday. I used to invite my best friend over because she played volleyball, and I wanted to learn. I then felt confident and I continued to practice everyday. Then, I tried out and made the team. I loved volleyball so much that I continued and loved it more than ever.

How does this relate to the theme?

This relates because it shows that you don't have to always be great at something in order to continue to try. No one is perfect at anything. All you can do is try your best to practice and it may lead to your being the best you can
