Kahoot
Kahoot is one of my favorite tools! I have used it in a number of trainings, both to show how to use the tool and to to a quick recap of the things we have been discussing! When I have used it with students, they get very excited and want to do a Kahoot every day. It is a great way to introduce new material or to review for an upcoming test. Very engaging!

Google makes collaboration so easy! Many people can work on the same document at the same time. Collaboration is one of the main ISTE standards and Google docs allows that with ease. It is also a great way to turn in work to the teacher, even without using Google Classroom. I, personally, like using Google Docs because all my stuff is stored on the cloud and I can easily access it from whatever device I have in my hands!

Final Reflection
While working for TIE (Technology and Innovation in Education), I frequently did workshops and conference sessions on Free Cool Tools. I love knowing what is out there and finding great ways for teachers to engage their students. Technology IS a part of the current culture and we must utilize it with our students to prepare them for the world they are going to live in. Not only do we need to find these tools to help them, we need to understand the tools they are using and help them navigate the web in a safe and informed way.
