Every year the school subscribes to these for us to use. They are very helpful. IXL has everything you need for grammar and understanding how English works - Verbs, nouns etc. And Q-files teaches you about history, space and lots of other interesting things and we all learn tons of things from it. A few times a week, we read aloud with our teachers. Read Theory and Newsela have comprehension questions at the end of the passage, which we answer. If we get them right, the site moves us on to the next passage at that level. Otherwise, we move down a level. The site keeps a record of my scores and that keeps the teacher informed.

What happens is one of first or second come in and tell us the computer isn't working. After that Rosaleen, our teacher, will send one of us in. This doesn't happen as much as it did last year. When we go in we discover that all we have to do is change the IP address and be on our way. That's pretty much what happens every time. The teacher creates learning paths so that we can look up things for certain projects, like Ancient China and the Terracotta Warriors. This means that we don't have to trawl through sites that would not be suitable.
