         <description><![CDATA[<p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>Post partum depression has far-reaching consequences. Mothers with PPD have an increased risk of morbidity and mortality. Per Faden and Citrome (2020), "afflicted mothers show an overall decrease in attention to infant needs, causing a delay in the child’s height, weight, and emotional and behavioral development.<a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" class=" bibr popnode" href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7656877/#bibr17-2045125320968658"><sup> </sup></a>Disrupted and insufficient mother–child attunement can also result in impaired child social and interpersonal functioning." </p><p><br/></p><p>This treatment is an exciting innovation with the potential to make huge strides toward improving the quality of life for women and families.</p><p><br/></p><p>Reference</p><p><br/></p><p>Faden, J., &amp; Citrome, L.          <description><![CDATA[<p>My clifton strengths are maximizer, harmony, connectedness, developer, adaptability. </p><p><br/></p><p>As a developer, I can spot the signs of small improvement and derive satisfaction from these<br>improvements. I encourage myself and others to look at what is going right, instead of just what is going wrong. That helps you to proceed and stay optimistic even when growth is slow. </p><p><br/></p><p>I think my strength of maximizer would be helpful in implementing this innovation. I worked with postpartum women for many years, and had postpartum depression myself. This is a cause I feel passionately about and believe that  it has the potential transform the lives of women and families. </p>]]></description>
