Also they are both tried to help their family’s in many ways.The differences are that they were born in different times and they come from different tribes. The Nuer and Dinka have been fighting for years and salva helped the nuer get water. Salva really inspired me in not giving up when things are hard and to keep on walking when you have a loss. Salva touched my heart because he walked without seeing his family for 16 and I think that shows a lot of grit and perseverance but Nya also touched my heart because she walked for such a long time that it became part of her daily schedule and all the while doing it with a bucket full of water that was full and all the while walking miles upon miles to give her family water. Another reason why she touched my heart is because she drank muddy water for years and her sister got sick because she drank the water for so long and she got really worried for her and she tried really hard to help her family and her sister by walking for so long. Another reason why Salva touched my heart is because he suffered through his uncle dying and all the while he was wondering if his family was dead of alive he also became a fair and honest leader by following in his uncle’s footsteps because for some of the time that he was walking for his uncle was the leader of his group but then he died and the other group members became selfish and greedy and wouldn't give Salva any food and once he made it to the refugee camp he stayed there for years and then they closed down the camp  walked for one and a half years to get to another refugee camp while being the leader of around 35,000 boys of all ages and sizes and tried to be fair to all of them by giving them individual jobs and equal portion’s of the food they hunted. he then had the chance to come to the USA specifically Rochester New York. While he was in the US he had to learn English and how to write in English and learn how to use so much of the stuff that we take for granted today and then he got an email from one of his cousins that his father was in the hospital in south Sudan he flew there from new york  to south sudan and when he came back to new york he started to raise money to drill wells in southern sudan it took him four years to raise $4,000 and he started his own wabsite where he raises money drill wells in south sudan. In the end also Nya’s story overlapped with salva’s story by the end salva drilled a well in Nya’s village even though Salva was Dinka and Nya was a Nuer and even though the two tribes have skirmishes for the areas within their tribal areas that have water in them. For salva he had to walk for a long time just to get to refuge camps, for Nya she had to collect water with a small plastic gord each day. Nyas sister got very sick and eventually her sister needed to go to a clinic just because some water, later on Salva was able to come to Nyas village and give Nyas people a well. Salva is the one that really touched my heart because he kept walking even when his uncle died he kept going even though it had been 16 years Salva kept walking, walking to freedom. Salva did so much and eventually all his work payed off he made a website that helped millions. 

this shows that with just some commitment you can achieve anything you put your mind to, and that anything is possible.

And when they were younger they did not have the best lives.

They also had to both work very very very hard.  They both went through very hard times and they had to do a lot do do the stuff we do every day.  And even though Salva and Nya went through the hardest of times they never ever gave up. And even if it was really hot or really cold.  I know that Salva and Nya would never give up.

I think one thing that made them do what they did is that they both kept trying and trying.  And some thing that makes their stories similar is that both of their stories were in Sudan and they both went through a lot I know they went they went through a lot because they had to walk in outrageous heat and they did a lot to just get food and water.

And to be honest I think Salva and Nya are great people because of how much they have done they went through: Nasty refugee camps, very very hard walks and very uncivilized places.
But the fact that Salva is still alive now is just amazing.

Salva is so cool for the things he sacrificed I really look up to Salva.
