They want their mom to comfort them because they do not want to be alone. This is when their mom tells them about the invisible strings that everyone has. She talks about how everyone is connected by invisible strings that you can feel in your heart. These invisible strings can reach anywhere, even heaven. There mom tells them that even when she is angry at them or they have conflicts, the string is still there. The children finally go back to their beds feeling safe. They imagine all the invisible strings they have with friends and family.
