- everything eventually works out.
- in order to be good at something, you have to be mediocre at it at first, it is okay to be mediocre.

- Hobbies does not need to have an educational, monetary gain, it bringing you joy is a good enough reason to spend time on it.

Overuse of Love

It was written that overuse of love can cause emotional promiscuity which I agree. Community is necessary for survival however you cannot centralize your self worth around it because in those cases, you will love people who do not return it to the same level.

A project I enjoyed - painting my bedroom

Two years ago, I was incredibly bored of my bedroom so I decided to paint it myself with no previous experience. With help from my dad, I bought supplies and picked a color. If my friend didn't come over to help me, I would have been able to complete it successfully. The room turned out good and I enjoyed doing it with my friend as we had a lot of fun. However, I learned an important lesson: tasks that seem simple require attention and expertise. Some parts of it is uneven, we painted a line across but the paint went through other parts. Instead of improvising it, I should have acquired some information regarding painting.

I think what made this project enjoyable even through mistakes is my ability to not take everything so seriously while caring about the subject. This may not be a good painting job but we did it and we enjoyed doing it and that is what was important.

The key to healthy expression of love is knowing the person before you. Their boundaries, limits and what is their understanding of love. Another important factor is knowing your own limits and being aware of how much you are receiving in the end. Giving love with sacrifice can turn into grudge when you think the other person is not 'deserving' of your love.

- Now, yes. I struggled a lot with this during my university years however now I know what I deserve and want from a relationship (platonic and romantic). I am also aware that sometimes love comes with its' own purpose and once that is fulfilled, it can fade from your life and that is okay.

Three Satisfying Summer Moments

- Seeing Morcheeba at Istanbul Jazz Festival, especially when they played 'Easier Said than Done'
- Watching European Championship Finale on tv with my uncle and mom. Turkey won and we celebrated so passionately.
- When we celebrated my other sister's birthday in Antalya. It was a beach day and the sea was extremely clear and beautiful with a lot of fish.

- visiting the Grenoble arts museum especially the pop art section.
- on Sunday, there was a ton open clothing booths in the city center. I enjoyed visiting them, window shopping and finding my nice skirt for a good price.
- my uncle got released from hospital and settled into his home, it was very relieving seeing him out of that place and in his own home.
