         <description><![CDATA[<div>Thiamine mononitrate is a synthetic form of vitamin B. Vitamin B helps our bodies convert fat to energy. In the process of producing and selling food (in this scenario bisquick), the food is often altered or changed in one way or another&nbsp; so the food will take longer to spoil. Doing this often takes the vitamins present in these foods, like vitamin b (thiamine). To reintroduce vitamins back into food, synthetic vitamins are put in our food. thiamine mononitrate is just one such synthetic vitamin.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Monocalcium Phospate</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A phosphate is the salt of a phosphoric acid.&nbsp; Monocalcium phosphate is a phosphate formed by combining a combining phosphoric acid and a calcium source. For example, calcium hydroxide and phosphoric acid. Its commonly used as a leavening agent in baking. In other words, it commonly found in baking powder and helps baked food to rise. While baking, it's important that the food rises at the correct time. Too early or too late, and the food comes out either dense and hard or really crumbly, neither of which bakers want. Monocalcium phosphate helps ensure the process happens at the right time by making sure that the carbon dioxide is released inside the dough at the right time. The most common other leavening agent is yeast, and yeast isn't synthetic.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Sodium aluminum phosphate or (E514) is a phosphate used as a leavening agent artificially (or synthetically) made from aluminum, phosphoric acid, and sodium hydroxide. In bisquick it's used in the baking powder to slow the baking (or cooking) process. It can also be an emulsifier (stabilizer) in cheese.</div>]]></description>
