France should pursue through imperialism because it made a strong come back for them. After the rench lost a lot of power from wars with Great Britain and North America, they tried to pull themselves back together. They did result in losing a lot of conquest but rebuilt their new Empire. The regained power of Africa and India  made them stronger even after the french lost so much. 
 2.  French imperialism stemmed very greatly, and it was partially because of their neighbors, such as Spain and Portugal. This was an economic reason and it was very helpful during Napoleon the thirds war. Imperialism was a great thing for the French and it led to extension in their own space.
