The New Deal helped by making new jobs for people. It also helped by getting people to put trust back into their banks and jobs. One way the New Deal did not help is by wasting money, another is the five years of unemployment. The New Deal is a way that president Rooselvelt used to try and get the US out of the great depression. The first New Deal is known as the "alhabet soup". were they tried to make new jobs to fix the unemployment rate. The second new deal helps our modern social welfare system. The new deal helped the US in both positive and negative ways.

The New Deal helped make new jobs and build the economy. It took many years to recover jobs and it raised taxes. Discrimination was made worse because of mainly white men were given jobs. The New Deal overall stabilized the economy at that moment, but did not prevent the entire thing from happening again. The New Deal saved the economy from getting worse and was good.

The reasons to why it was successful was because the confidence in the economy people started to trust the banks again and there was an increase in empolyment rates. The reasons to why it was nonsuccessful was because the trust in the banks and government was lacking and many people didn't have money to pay the higher taxes. The legacy of the new deal was that a person stand point of the deal was that it was scary to put trust back into something that has already failed them once. To the governments stand point it was helping bring back order and structure.

The New Deal was successful in the way of employment and Capitalism. The new deal made the unemployment rate go from 25% down to 14% in four years so its goal of soving unemployment was deemed successful. With Capitalism, it was believed that the New Deal couldn't benefit the economy without killing Captalism, but in the end Capitalism was saved by the new deal.
Even though the New Deal was successful in multiple ways, it also had many downsides. It was believed that the New Deal would encourage overspending due to all of the added funds and future promises. It was also said to be unconstitutional. The government wasn't given any power or mandate to interfere with the economy and gave them minimal control.
The legacy of the New Deal was easily seen by President Roosevelt. He believed that the New Deal sought to reinvigorate the economy by stimulating consumer demand. He also thought that in giving money to companies they could sell more and more products which would give them the money to hire more employees, therefore cutting out unemployment. In doing this, Roosevelt believed that "...the Great Depressions downwards economic spiral could be reversed."
