Constructivist teachers encourage students to constantly assess how the activity is helping them gain understanding. By questioning themselves and their strategies, students in the constructivist classroom ideally become "expert learners." This gives them ever-broadening tools to keep learning. With a well-planned classroom environment, the students learn how to learn.

Hello Christa, I enjoyed learning more about Constructivism through your Padlet. I liked how constructivism is student based learning that requires active participation which engages students with the material and allows them to apply their knowledge and skills to real world situations. I also like this philosophy of learning because it allows for an opening learning environment where students can show that they are learning through different types of assessments rather than just one fits all approach.
