After entering the crater of Sneffels, an extinct Icelandic volcano, they travel miles and kilometers in long tunnels inside the Sneffels and finally arrive at a beach hundreds of kilometers below sea level. In front of this beach there is a sea that they cross in about two weeks. Then a violent storm throws them on another beach and after regaining their senses they explore that unknown land. So they find a dagger on the ground and in a gallery they see engraved on a rock the letters "AS", the initials of Arne Saknussem, the man who had arrived for the first time in the center of the Earth. Continuing through that tunnel they find the road blocked by a rock, then explode with explosives. The consequence of this is that after a few hours they are able to go back to the surface, exactly on the island of Stromboli. In fact they were in a tunnel from which the lava came out and that at that moment an eruption was taking place. One day he found a old history book of Norwegian princes from the book he found a parchment he was looking very excited because of the parchment , it was written Runes,then his newphew Axel asked that who wrote it , prof. Otto claimed 'Arne Saknussemm'. Then they started to find the meaning they didn't ate their lunch and even dinner .After that when prof. Otto was stressed he went for a walk that time Axel found out the meaning of the parchment ,but atfirst didn't want to tell this to his uncle because if he get to know this he would get ready as soon as possible to reach to the centre of the earth , but after when he couldn't control his hunger he showed it to the prof. Otto Lindenbrock .

This book tells about the story of a Norwegian princesse who ruled Iceland. While the uncle was turning the book's pages, a parchment fell out of it on the floor. This parchment was written in runes, prof. Lidenbrock couldn't decipher the code, but, after a week, Axel did it, the only problem was that Axel was scared about going to the centre of the earth.

Professor Lidenbrock had fairlong hair, he wore red glasses. He was medium height. He was a famous mineralogist and he was also a fanatical collector of not only rocks but also books. He was like a volcano, he was excited but passionate.


Axel had brown long hair, he was medium height and skinny, he had a white skin. He was a student and his nature is calm, clever, lazy.


Hans was a tall person with long red hair. He was powerfully built and he had dreamy blue eyes. His nature was calm and relaxed.
