Both poems show elements of danger. In cozy apologia there is a hurricane heading towards them “Big Bad Floyd” this suggests that there is danger coming towards them and this suggests that love and relationships aren’t always smooth and can have ups and downs.

In valentine “cling to your knife” shows danger. the verrb “cling” suggests that she is wanting to hold on to the relationship and feels it may not last whereas Dove knows her relationship is secure and "content"
