Analysis:

Overall I have positive feelings about the art piece. I like the colours, shapes, and background of the painting. I do not like the lack of colours towards the bottom of the painting and the way the subject’s arm are painted. 

The painting makes me feel neutral because it is neither good nor bad. The painting also makes me feel peaceful because of the natural scenery in the background.

This art piece is a portrait of Lisa Gherardini, the wife of a rich merchant, who is painted in front of a cliff, mountains, and a lake. 

I think the artist was trying to say that everything in the world is connected to nature.

The first I see in the picture is the woman. I looked at this first because it was object that took up the most space on the painting.

The shapes and colours of this painting were the most important art elements. The shapes help make the picture look realistic. For example, the oval shape of the subject makes her look like a real human, the angled shapes in the background help make everything looks 3D. The use of colours such as green, blue, red of the background, help add a feeling of peacefulness to viewer.
