My Intro !

~ Hi everyone! My name is Katie and I am currently a freshman who is a first-generation college student in my family! My mom and dad are both from South Central LA and at the time they didn't have much time to do any type of school so I wanted to make sure their first and only daughter did it for them! At first, I was TERRIFIED of starting school online, especially since it's my first year of college. I'm not a very shy person when it comes to meeting new people, I actually like to consider myself as a pretty outgoing person but before school started, I was worried I wasn't going to make any friends in my classes because meeting people through a screen is completely different from in person, but surely enough I've made some pretty cool friends that are so much alike to me and I'm looking forward to getting to know you, my fellow classmate, a little bit better! <3
~ I hope you guys don't think I'm weird for this LOL, but the picture below are my friends! The boy on the left is a new friend I met from my Fundamentals of Speech class last semester and the girl to my right has been my friend since freshman year of high school and now we're basically inseparable.

~ Call me a little girl or cringe LOL, but I'm a huge fangirl for Harry Styles. He's my favorite artist, no doubt, he brings me so much joy. And yes if you're thinking it.. I was and still am obsessed with One Direction haha!

~ I know a lot of people that don't really like this show, but it's absolutely my favorite. I can watch it over and over again. Like.. Jim & Pam.. am I right? (': I'm so sad they took it off Netflix, like what am I supposed to binge watch now..

~ I chose Dominguez Hills because my oldest brother was going to attend here but unfortunately he didn't have time for school due to his work schedule so I made a promise to him that I would graduate college as a Toro!

COVID !

~ It's crazy to think how long we've been experiencing this pandemic. It really does suck when you begin to think how much we took the little things for granted but if I'm being honest, being home and having a lot of more time to myself, I can honestly say I've grown a lot as a person and have learned so much things not only about myself but everything and everyone else around me. I hope soon enough we can all go back to normal!

Favorite Movie !

~ I love, love, LOVE Scarface. It's been my favorite movie ever since I watched it for the first time. Everything about it is so cool, if you haven't watched it, WATCH IT ASAP! The whole aesthetic of the film is awesome. Their outfits especially, they all look so good!
