I know that next year the subjects I will be working with will be much more history/social studies oriented. I do think that I should be able to use some of the same strategies that we covered during our sessions here, such as paired discussions, reading circles, different ways of taking notes, etc. As far as curriculum goes, I would like to continue using UbD-style unit planning. I think this is something that I will look at working on this summer. 

I think it will be great to keep in touch with many of the colleagues that I have worked with here at CMS. I will definitely miss the opportunity to grow through these interactions that I was afforded this year. I definitely want to perfect and make habit the mini-lesson format, mostly because I'll be supporting the two new hires who have never heard of the workshop model before. Right now, I do it, but it's loose, and it could certainly be tighter. The more ingrained I have that, the better I will be able to support.   I think that by writing in those plans specifically will solve both the practice and the support elements. 

I want to include in my growth process consideration for English 12, bringing in those elements as well. As it is the first time these students will receive this curriculum, but not the first time I've taught it, I'm hopeful that they receive it well and engage with it. But if they don't, I hope also that my pride will allow me to meet them where they are. 

I want to continue to lead this department with kids' best interests at heart, towing the school's line while also supporting the individuals within the department as they need it. I want to really help to make this department collaborative and cohesive, a true team. 

2. I genuinely don't know what supports will help. I am open to any and all support and suggestions.
