Before I went to the Concert I was checking to make sure my Flute was working and it was at home. But then my flute did not work in the concert. I really enjoyed getting to know everybody and the play really helped me to get to know everybody better. I know that I wasn't really the best stage crew person but I tried my best to help the show go on no matter what happens. We really worked hard on it and I was so excited to see all of it come together. The play also helped me bond with others that i didn't I would bond with. We laughed around and made jokes but in the end it all come together with the amazing singers, the actors, the costumes, stage crew, the scenes, lighting, and also music. But in the end all of our hard work payed off. I was so happy to end it off with such great and amazing people. The party that was made for us was so great I enjoyed it it was really fun. I knew that I needed to get in art explorers, so everyday, I showed her artwork I painted and drew over the 4th grade summer. Each piece getting better than the last. I wanted to show her how much I was interested in art! The last piece of work I showed her was a hyper-realistic girl with a flower crown I drew. I don currently have the drawing with me. :(  She. Was. Amazed. That was the best sketch I have ever drawing in my WHOLE life. ( not exaggerating). Later in the year I got a letter that I got in! I was so happy! I got in this year as well, but because of corona. We missed more than half of art explorers. There was also this thing called after school art explorers. The theme for this year was, Fashion Design or Character Design. So yeah turned out I made it as representative and I just wanted to say thank you for all the people that encouraged me to try out and who voted for me during the election. I remember 1st grade pretty well. It was my first day at Latham Ridge and I was very nervous. Since Harrison was in my preschool I was somehow able to remember him. I remember we had to spell each others name in first grade and that's it. In second grade I remember Mr. Mattis would give us Starbursts every Friday. We also had this thing called show and write. We would have to bring an item in and write about it. We could also get more starbursts by making the little basketball in the hoop. Third grade was pretty weird. First of all I keep on remembering Mr. Buckley reminding me to not rush. She even wrote it on my knuckles.. :/  Anyways, I wasn't trying to rush. We had a drivers liscence we could have for multiplication. Also we made these weird gingerbread houses. I ate all of mine in 5 minutes when I got home. The worst thing about 3rd grade was we needed to start New York State testing. We also had this auction thingy. I don't like it because I had nothing to make. 4th grade was also kinda weird. Mrs. Rossi had a bunny named I don't know. She had another bunny named Chloe. She was fat and didn't care if people pet her. One day we found out I dont know (im going to call the other bunny I dont know from now on.) was pregnant. I dont know had 2 bunnies that grew very fast. We went to Cooperstown and also learned about circuits. I forgot about it now. 5th grade was the BEST. I remember the first day. I remember who I had to sit with on the first day. I had to sit next to Ethan. He wore his Preston merch and made weird noises. Shradha kept trying to calm Ethan. He made more weird noises. There was also Mohammed. He was a bit toxic. Ethan made this Google slide we all could talk to each other on while we were at home. I think all the people were me, Jerry, Rahim, Jackson,  Ayaan, Nico, Mohammed, Briella, Izzy, Shradha, and Caroline. Mrs. Leoniak let us do basically whatever we want. We made a 4 person bottle flip. Mohammed flipped it, it hit my hand, bounced of Ayaan's head, hit Jerry's shoulder and I think it capped. Also when it was boys vs. girls dodgeball in P.E. the girls would be losing, and then Mr. A  would come out of nowhere on the girls team and chuck the ball at every single one of us. The girls got carried. I also remember I threw a pillow a Ethan because he kept on throwing it at me and then. Well, Briella got up from her seat, went over to Ethan, and started to STOMP on him. Camp Chingacook was also good. I remember on the bus ride we were singing along to some songs on Jerry's phone. Jerry got his phone taken away because somebody told on him. In Camp Chingacook I remember someone fell in the water while we were trying to catch crayfish. That fall made me fall. I got soaked and I started to get so mad I litterally flung myself around the place and got water on everybody. 5th grade was fun. 6th grade was amazing. I really liked everything about it and the teachers are just AMAZING. 6th grade was so so so good. I also oddly remember on  beach day we went outside and had a balloon fight. Abby pooped a balloon over my head and I chased her around throwing balloons at her. I also remember the kindergarten play. I was a cow and I sung about chocolate milk I think. In first grade Mr. MacNamara would have us put on little shows for the other classes and It was so much fun. In second grade I remember in Mr. Mattis´ class there was this couch on the rug and everyone would fight over who would get to sit there. Also when we went to Five Rivers and I freaked out because there was a tick on me and the teachers were like ¨Oh it´s fine¨ but then this other girl I´ll call her Becky got one on her and the teachers freaked out it wasn´t even latched on or anything. Third grade I remember like making gingerbread houses and this kid drew a mustache on his face in permanant marker! Also when these two kids moved we got to eat ice cream in math club or that might have been second grade IDK. Anyway it was also my first year of LEP and we read the book Hoot is was a pretty good book and I still have a copy of it. We also wrote a school newspaper and I wrote interesting facts about the teachers retiring that year. In fourth grade I helped out with the bunnies a lot and that was fun. I also started to play the bass that year. I also wrote my first real historical fiction story for young writers. Fifth grade um... I   so I don´t know a lot about fifth grade um... oh camp Chingachgook was super fun I love archery so I was super excited to do that Sixth grade has a lot of memories can I just start with Future City in LEP it was so much fun building and presenting our model and our team won fourth place. I worked really hard on the presentation so it felt really good to see all that hard work pay off. We also got to go back and present at the board of education later that year. Then the sixth grade play happened and that was so so much fun. It was a lot of work but it was a great show. I have so many memories that happened during the process of making the show. And last but not least the kindergarteners. Abby and I used to help them out everyday and It as one of my favorite parts of the day. I miss them a lot and it is sad to know I will most likely never see them again. I also want to say thank you to all the teachers who made my years at Latham Ridge super special and to my amazing friends I have made throughout the years.

One thing we didn't do this year is have a feild trip.]]> 2020-06-01 17:00:26 UTC https://padlet.com/nicole_french/c0okos8mz3rv0o4v/wish/605237098 Memories with friends shshikder https://padlet.com/nicole_french/c0okos8mz3rv0o4v/wish/605431459 When I came here, it was in the middle of October so I missed a few things.  But when your the new kid, basically someone talks to you and later on you become friends with them or they become your enemy (got that from books).  For me, it took a while to find friends since I was kind of shy.  But soon I found my first friend, Hailey.  We were friends for as long I was in Latham Ridge.  Soon after I had my birthday party and it was a lot of fun.  Then in 4th grade, we met Daff.  Now I'm not going to explain everything that happened because I don't think I should, but there was some drama.  I also met Izzy D.  We didn't talk that much but we met because she stood up for me. Izzy and I really started talking in 5th grade.  There was even more drama this year, sooo I think I'll skip that part.  But the field trip that I'm guessing was the best for everyone for 5th grade was Camp Chingachgook.  It was so much fun because we got to do activities outside.  It was really fun.  6th grade, this year, was crazy.  I mean we couldn't even go to school for like the half of the year since of COVID-19.  And so we are trying the best we can to speak with one another.  Video calls, phone calls and more.  All I can say is that I am happy to have my friends with me that will stick with me by my side.
