The most important thing is to exercise before the journey. The effects of not properly preparing include: hallucination, nausea, muscle tears, and even fever. The amount of physical physique anyone on the underground railroad must have had is incredible.

Abraham Lincoln's beliefs are still not known for sure but people are pretty sure that this is what he believed. He was never part of a church but he frequently read the Bible. He said in his final year "Take all of this book upon reason that you can, and the balance on faith, and you will live and die a happier and better man." Most people think he was a believer in God. Many Northern preachers believed this was a divine retribution for the National sin of Slavery.

He was also a legislator before he was the President. And he was a very vocal opponent of slavery. He was a congressman for Illinois, but people didn't like him for his stance on the Mexican-American War. He caught the attention when he debated slavery against a Politician in the town where he worked. He ran for President and he was elected as the 16th President in March of 1861.

They would let the slaves go by themselves, and not monitor their spending. Others went with their slaves when they wanted to buy something.

They think that even the most atheist people ever still have God in them. They know that everyone deserves God and they believe that everyone does have God within them.
