Common threads from everyone... anxiety, purpose and relevance of the assessments. These two themes seem to be common thought between the class. I understand the need for a "litmus test" regarding a person's ability to be a nurse, doctor, lawyer, etc. I haven't heard or read research or thought that supports these types of exams as a realistic indicator for a person to demonstrate competency or proficiency in a given field. I took the GRE for admission into Marian University's Educational Leadership program, did that really provide necessary information that I would be successful in the program. But it is something I question.
