We discussed how the librarian at Shenango does research with the students.
Then, the technology teacher helps the students put the research into google slides.
Finally, the students show their presentations in Language Arts or Social Studies. I love this. Doing it this way allows students to get the benefit of three teachers in their areas of expertise. Currently, my students do their research in my room, enter info in google slides, and present in my room. It would be great to have support from the specials teachers.

As a student teacher attending this event I learned more about the iready program that the district I'm in uses. I learned how it can be modified for each student to enhance their learning in moth reading and mathematics.

I also learned from 2 teachers outside of my district about the specials teachers being a part of the Google classrooms, this allows each teacher to monitor student progress.

Lastly, I taught about an application we have been using in our classroom called Plickers, which is great fro reviews and tracking student progress. It can be done with as little as a computer, a cellphone, and a projector. It is also free to use. The students think that it is a game but it tracks and makes percentages for individuals, classroom, and each question.

We talked to a Mohawk teacher and her student teacher about programs that they used. One was a game called Plickers that can be used with her phone as a review game. They also use iready for testing for math/reading. They take 3 tests a year. It has lesson on it and students are tracked and they work on it 2 times a week. She said it correlates to the PSSA common core tests.
