The transition chant was content related and not just a chant. I could create a chant that is related to the I Can statement of the current unit to transition to. Appoint a leader, not just me leading it.

I like that the students chanted the definition of non fiction text. I could use this when practicing the phonics skill we are working on.

I liked that the chant emphazied the content they were studying

Build executive function by using complete sentences, give time and repetition. Make sure they are always using complete sentences.
