What you have to do is to plan your own hotel based on the following requirements: • 3-4 star hotel • 200 – 250 rooms • Location: Vietnam • Brand new hotel Each team will build up their hotels with the following criteria: • Targeted customers (who do you target at?) • Location (Where exactly in Vietnam do you want to open your hotel? Why? This should be realistic) • Brand image/ theme (Explain in details and this should be linked to your marketing activities, and how you show this theme in the hotel’s decoration?) • Describe your hotel and the amenities (has to have at least 1 restaurant) (Explain in details what the hotel should look like and where the other services are located. For each amenity, describe in details what they are, operating hours, themes and products.) • ADR, types of room and rates (Explain in details the room types and their differences; present floor plan, describe the furniture used for each room type, and room amenities… You can use pictures to help you demonstrate) • Marketing and sales… (How do you attracts new customers and compete against your competitors in the area? Through which channels do you market and sell your products?) • Human Resources (Give details about your hotel organizational chart. How many employees do you hire for each department? What kind of benefits do you give to your employees?) You should be able to use excel sheets, power points, pictures, for this assignment. Be creative and pay attention to details.
