Roman Domes were particularly used for baths, villas, palaces, tomb, etc. Domes are used in many famous buildings such as the Pantheon, Saint Peter´s Basilica, Santa Costanza, etc.

But the Roman arches were different from the Greek arches and had their own style, so now Roman arches are their own thing. Roman arches and arches in general were very good for supporting weight, so this way they could make massive buildings and structures without worrying about it breaking.
