Reflection: I have chosen these 4 artifacts to show a comprehensive understanding of child development principles. The primary purpose of these artifacts is to demonstrate the application of theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios, highlighting the connection between genetic and external/environmental factors in development. The nature/purpose of these artifacts is to design and facilitate educational experiences that prioritize inquiry and play as central components of learning. The Field Trip Assignment encourages real-world exploration and learning beyond classroom walls. Outdoor Play supports kinesthetic learning and environmental awareness. SEL Reflection focuses on developing self-awareness and emotional regulation in students. Emotions Learning Activity aims to enhance understanding and management of emotions through interactive exercises. These artifacts showcase the combination of curriculum goals with developmental outcomes, creating an enriched learning experience that addresses the diverse needs of all children.

Choosing to pursue a career in Early Childhood Education was driven by my ability to get along with children and how im able to take the time to understand them. As well as wanting to create safe spaces and opportunities that I didn't have when I was a child, as well as someone they can trust and whos there for them

During my college program, I have completed placement at Stoneybrook Early Childhood Centre, Byron Somerset childcare centre and riverside public school, where I had the opportunity to apply my learning in real-world settings. These placements have allowed me to work directly with children, observe their developmental milestones, and implement educational strategies that encourage growth and curiosity. Each experience has enriched my understanding and honed my skills in creating inclusive and engaging learning environments.

I look forward to working at a childcare centre, an opportunity to put all my learning into practice, having a way to show my ability to create a welcoming and safe environment and create activities that engage children and helps them thrive developmentally. while also making the nessisary changes after reflecting.
