Every piece, whether it be visual, musical, or literary, that has had an effect on society has broken (or satirized) some backwards rule. Therefore, I will call upon the spirits of artists to give me the inspiration and the will to break the rules with my creation. In writing, I usually try to break the rules using grammar. Syntax is a great way to convey in the most minute way what you are trying to change. I believe that in life I break rules in microscopic ways. Maybe it makes absolutely no difference, but in my opinion it helps.
