There are different views on this. Many people think it is more persuasive to make arguments impersonally. Certainly hackneyed phrases like 'in my opinion' usually appear redundant in an essay that will inevitably put your point of view. Still, some think using 'I' for a particular moment of conjecture can be very effective, especially if not doing so reads awkwardly. My advice would be to remember that essays are all about persuading the reader, and every word should contribute to this. Use 'I' if you've thought about it and decided for that moment it is the best way of achieving this effect.

Citing texts is all about clarity. Your purpose is to make it possible for the reader to refer back to what you are citing easily, and to be given confidence in the accuracy of your claims. Look at the English handbook for help and examples (available online from department website, see above). In tricky cases, cite as sensibly and precisely as you can: give as many details as can reasonably be discovered. No need to count all the lines of play, then! Still, you could suggest in your answer roughly where in the text it comes from (does the play have acts or scenes?) and cite the website link precisely.
