1. These teens were charged of felony murder. For each felony murder case, they do a trial in court to find the right suspect. Sometimes but rarely, the jury doesn’t get the right suspect but the suspect still has to go to jail because the jury decides who goes to prison by listening the interrogation of different suspects. So maybe, in this Steve’s trial, they won’t choose the right person. It’s just the suspects who know if they’re guilty or not. We can’t read their mind. They’re the only ones who know if they’re responsible for felony murder or not.

3. Text to world: a few years ago, I saw on the television that a teenager named Blake Layman, was sentenced 55 years in prison but he didn’t kill anyone. He broke into a house unarmed and the homeowner injured Blake and killed his friend. Then, he was charged for felony murder even though he didn’t kill anyone. Layman knew that he should be accused for breaking and entering, but he didn’t kill anyone. The only thing he didn’t accept is being a murderer. So I relate this story to Steve Harmon’s because he did participate in the robbery but he didn’t kill Mr.Nesbitt and didn’t even steal money, cigarettes or all kinds of things. So sometimes, the jury makes a mistake and charges the wrong guy for felony murder and that’s why you shouldn’t even commit small crimes, because who knows, maybe you’ll be accused of a major thing which you didn’t do.
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/feb/26/felony-murder-teenager-55-years-jail-indiana

5. His parents were worried about him, especially his dad. He’s in emotional grief. They found out something: Mr.Nesbitt drowned by his own blood. There was trauma in the organs which resulted internal bleeding. Steve is very afraid because he can’t stay in prison for 25 years. He doesn’t want to get raped. Also, now, everybody is thinking that Steve is like Bobo or King which is not true. Steve’s mom came to visit him and Steve was so excited to see her. His mom trusts Steve and knows that he did nothing major. She also gave him the Bible for hope.
The investigation continued. Ms. Lorelle Henry was the witness. The day the incident occurred, she was gonna buy a cough medicine from a drugstore because her daughter was sick. But then, she overheard one of the men say “where’s the money?”. She saw one of the men holding Mr. Nesbitt by the collar and then she left. Ms. Henry recognized one of the men who was in the drugstore which was James King. Then, Bobo was investigated. During his investigation, he was asked what happen that day. So his side of the story was that King killed the drugstore owner and Steve was just gonna give them a signal if there was someone in the drugstore. Bobo stole some cash and cigarettes. But they promised to each other that they were gonna share the money. But they didn’t give any to Steve because apparently they decided to lay low.
