Gregor's family reacted negatively to his transformation, they did not instill any comfort or try to heal him. At first, they believed that he was sick, and then there was a bug, but once they say him they went all over the place. The text speaks about how his boss was in awe from seeing him like a bug. His mother and father had a similar response," his father gave him one really strong liberating push from behind", his father despised what he was looking at and feared for his life.

Gregors family reacted to his transformation negatively. Instead of trying to help him and make him feel better, they got angry at him. His dad even tried to push him back into the room that he was stuck in. in the text it says."His father gave him one really strong liberating push from behind."

They have a negative reaction. They didn't like it and couldn't believe it was him at first. Evidence shows how the dad gave him a strong push and he was bleeding severely. The boss was also in shock seeing Gregor as a bug. The mom and the sister are very worried for Gregor and hope he is okay.

Before their relationship was thought to be good, he would go to work to pay off their loans and everyone was happy. As soon as it appeared that Gregor could not work it was like he became a burden. The only person who seriously seemed to care about him was his sister calling out for an ambulance or something, she never switched up. Before his boss saw him as one of the most elite employees but after seeing him as a bug he seems distraught, when he says "oh" pg 149.

The dad reacting like that shows how before greogors change the him and his dad already had a hostile relationship. And by the way his mother reacted it shows she didn't really care for him. Rather then actually caring for him they saw him as their source of income. Which shows how the mother and father were just using him. In the text it says,"His father clenched his first with a hostile expression as if he wished to push Gregor back into his room." This being the fathers reaction contributes to the idea that the gregors and his father relationship was never that healthy in the first place.

That how is family is learning how to accept him. But some people are still shocked about his transformation like the manager who ran away bewildered. But their relationship before was good because Gregor was helping pay the loans off. But on page 149 you can see how the manager is frightened. His sister still cared for him and was really concerned.
