Problems and Solutions to Suburban Sprawl

A suburban sprawl is when there is an uncontrolled expansion in an urban area. Some problems of an urban sprawl is that there isn't enough space for everyone so this will cause the city to remove certain things like stores, streets, memorials, etc. That also means that they will remove trees and take up more of wildlife space. This will force a lot of wild animals to leave where their wild life and go somewhere else. Thus, this will cause extinction. This will also increase air pollution, traffic, and water pollution. There are many solutions like positioning the suburb closer to the cities. Also, not to destroy buildings, rather renewing them. And allow more people to use active transportation.

Slums are known as poor housing. They usually aren't permanent housing. The house has access to clean water and it has sufficient space. People usually live in slums so that they can live near their jobs or to get more job opportunities.
