Owning a car has many advantages. However, there are disadvantages. 
The most important advantage is convenience. In any weather, the car will protect you from the sun or rain. In addition, you no longer need to be in a noisy and jostling crowd. Another advantage is that you are independent of public transport schedules.
The main disadvantage is environmental pollution. There are so many cars around the world that it affects the purity of our air. And one more thing, every so often we spend more time by car than by regular transport, because of traffic jams.
In my opinion, the choice of the type of transport depends on a particular person and his habits or points of view. However, here we must remember that everything in our world has both positive and negative sides.

Is it a problem that should concern us or it's just an inevitable and harmless consequence of modern society? To answer this question let's look at the main advantages and disadvantages of this phenomenon.
The only advantage I can name is that computer games help people to relax, to rest after work. But I think this advantage is very doubtful. The problem is that all computer games are made in a very specific way: they don't give you a feeling of satiety, they only increase your desire to continue the game. So instead of giving a feeling of satisfaction and
saturation they make you more irritable and unsatisfied.
The main disadvantages are: isolation from real life, intellectual and volitional degradation, addiction, lack of real communication, et cetera. As you can see the list of disadvantages far outweighs the only advantage. However, as Professor Preobrazhensky said: "Disruption is not in the closets, but in the minds". Therefore i think the problems are in our minds. But of course computer games only aggravate these problems.
In conclusion i would like to say that in my opinion computer games are surely a negative thing. But the modern world still doesn't have any effective ways to deal with this. In the end, it all depends on the person.

But scientific progress has two sides. 

First of all, technologies allow people to save time, effort and money. We used it for studying, work and entertainment in our everyday life. Smart phones and social networks give people possibilities to be immediately informed of the current news and to keep in touch with family and colleagues. In addition, technology helps people in journeys. They travel faster, cheaper and with all comforts they need.

On another hand, there are some disadvantages. The main disadvantage is that man has become a slave of gadgets. It makes people lazy, unfocused and in some way excludes live communication. Many people have become so addicted to gadgets that they can feel helpless if these gadgets break. 

As far as I'm concerned, modern technology is a good thing, but it depends on whether people use it for constructive or destructive purposes.

In main opinion, playing computer games is a good thing to improve language skills. Of course there are disadvantages, but important to remember  that it making us more isolate end less active.

Some people say that computer games make kids violent and irritable, but there is no scientific proof of it.
Let's have a look at advantages of spending time in front of console or PC. The first is possibility to relax and to throw out bad and annoying thoughts. The next pros is entartaiment without any investments. You can get happy just earned some diamonds or points which help you to achieve your goals. Diversity of genres is another advantage. You able to try on 
different roles such as soldier, footballer, cook, singer and many others. Everyone can find his cup of tea. Also I should mention nowadays popularity of cybersport. A lot of children 
want to get into this industry and become wealthier like their role models and I think it's good way to earn money. 
But each light has dark side. The main disadvantages are: addiction, harmful for our mental and physical health, less irl communication. Another important thing is that the more you playing games, the less dopamine you get. It means you get less pleasure from life. 
Of course there are drawbacks, but nothing is harmful if you use it smartly.
