Every time we interact with others, be it in person, on the phone, or via the internet, we need to use our interpersonal skills to build a relationship.

Interpersonal skills include:

• Communication – this involves both verbal and non-verbal communication, alongside our ability to listen well to others. Being a good communicator means understanding the person/people we are communicating with, which is far easier if we have an understanding of their culture, heritage and customs.

• Emotional intelligence – this is our ability to understand and manage our own, and others’ emotions. When we have a high level of cultural awareness we are able to understand what motivates or drives another, how they are likely to react to a situation, and why they make certain choices differently to us. Those people who have empathy, self-awareness, resilience and good social skills are usually highly emotionally intelligent.

Cultural awareness improves relationship skills through its ability to inform us of correct procedures for business etiquette, how to manage personal introductions, what is acceptable (or unacceptable) in different social situations, and the reasons for different values and beliefs.
Understanding is key to acceptance, so the more familiar we are with a culture, the more acceptable and tolerable it becomes.

All businesses operate under various stresses. Sometimes these stresses are the result of problems which could be easily solved with new perspectives, improved communication, or increased understanding.

A key ‘hidden’ benefit of cultural awareness is the ability to solve once complex issues.

Cultural awareness can improve cognitive flexibility as it introduces positive new practises, beliefs, processes and cultures, which in turn, leads to improved adaptability within new situations.

 Although some people believe businesses only have to gain some structural integrity to run it, it is impossible to not being observant about their surrounding environment, especially the so called startup businesses. Because, they need to give an outlook that persuades people to invest in the business. One of the examples by doing so is surely to adapt by their daily process, mainly their culture. Because, gaining some trust always starts with a view of thoughts that doesn't go out of their cultural behavior, because if there is a clash between both of them ( business and culture ), not only it'll give people around them a negative thoughts, it will also break their trust to invest in the business and that will may give a huge impact such as a bankruptcy

to avoid miss understanding when we are working with people from different culture is to learn about their culture first, learn what they usually do in a business, communicate with them effectively, keep updating the information, and get to know them

For Americans time is money. And so they'll be very keen to actually the salesmen were very keen to get out of sales literature and start exalting the virtues of the product. They'll trying to sell you, they'll try to get on with the agenda as quickly as as possible. Whereas typically in Latin cultures and also in the people like Chinese cultures relationship building is very important. They are making judgments about you as an individual as to whether you're the kind of person that they want to do business with. 

Working across culture can increase our understanding of many things in culture. We can get down to seek the other cultures, learn something new, it can build our respect to the other, and can wider our relationship in running a business that in the world, people are different. We can easily jump into something new and make ourselves to be good at placing where we are and whom we communicate with

Cultural awareness is important for business people because as a businessman if we know the culture in the area we will be able to understand the market, it is easy for us to enter the market. and to find out the trend of the culture so we can maximize our business.

The way to avoid misunderstandings when we work with people from different cultures is not to judge someone without some basis or fact. We have to listen and be open minded. It would be better before conducting a meeting, do some research on the background of the other cuture. Some people have a different way of speaking and language that allows us to be offended. Therefore, we should not jump to conclusions about someone because maybe he didn't mean to offend. When speaking, try to use body language that can help the audience to understand what is being said and avoid idioms, and keep the communication simple so everyone can follow.

The advantage of working across cultures is that you can create something out of the box because you have different thoughts. With a variety of mindsets and lifestyles, companies or organizations can produce new innovations. In addition, the existence of other cultures can develop knowledge and talents where members can share knowledge with others

I will choose United Kindom because working there tends to be relaxed. Most of the time they socialize with coworkers. And British Culture is a wide range of modern and traditional entertainment and activities, from world-famous museums to contemporary art galleries, mansions to castles and protected gardens. That's what made me want to work there because of the beauty of the city. And a strong economy, a high standard of living and a great working environment are the reasons I want to work in the UK. Longer paid holidays, free health care and a good minimum wage mean living standards across the UK have improved over the last century. 

The qualities should companies look for sending staff abroad is theis ability and flexibility. They must be able to deal with and adapt working conditions to themselves in order to work professionally and meet their cultural needs.
