This pacemaker is unlike most pacemakers due to how small and how noninvasive it is for the patient. The micro pacemaker is used for patients with a low heart rate and it does exactly what it's called it paces the heart. It is shaped like a small bullet or vitamin and does not involve any leads. The pacemaker is inserted with a small catheter that goes into your upper thigh vein that leads up to your heart to the right ventricle. Follow up appointments need to be maintained to provide the best care for our patients.

I work in the Emergency Room and have seen many pacemakers that are shaped like a large nodule and very evident on the patient's chest. Some of the people that I have been into contact with do not like the way it feels or looks because of how pronounced it is and I find this micro pacemaker rather interesting and believe it can benefit many people who have bradycardia. I hope to be able to tell some of my patients about this product and ask some of the ER doctors what their thoughts are regarding this product.
