One of the things that I want from Government is that to be more responsible with our money and budget because right now Illinois doesn't even have a budget and it can be a very bad for everyone. Another thing that the Government can do is make sure that the different social classes pay different amounts of money for taxes.

I expect to learn more information about how the government works and how Politics works because all I see if what the News on TV tells me and I become really confused a lot of the time. After reading about the court case about the burning of the flag, I support an amendment that allows the burning of the flag only if it's for stating a point like how Johnson did, not for something of war or chaos. The first Amendment is all about how we should be able to express ourselves without being prosecuted and Johnson was only trying to state something and make himself be heard.

I thought the movie was really interesting and was able to keep my attention. I really liked the movie because it showed how some people want to help the lower class of the country like Senator Smith did with his bill to construct a boys camp for the boys of the United States and proceeded to talk about his bill for almost a full twenty four hours to show that he just wanted to help the boys and not make a profit for himself like he was said to be doing. I also liked how he kind of took off in the beginning to go sight see since he hadn't been there before
2. After watching the movie and watching how Senator Smith fought for his bill to make a camp for boys everywhere, I believe that today Smith would belong to the Democratic party because Democrats tend to lean towards helping out the low income parties and the poverty while the Republican party help out with the Wealthy and like the wealthy and high class more than the low and middle income families and people. I believe that after the time of when he is telling the senate that he is was being framed and trying to make a boys camp I believe he stayed a senate to do more things like that in the future
3. I think that Jefferson Smith is a lot similar to Mark Kirk who is the junior senator for Illinois. I think that these two men are very similar in many ways. One of those reasons is that they are both the junior senators for their state which means that they haven't been a senator for their state as long as the senior senator has and it could also mean they haven't had a lot of experience in politics as well. (79) Another reason I believe they are similar is that they both try to do the best for the people and they like to do service for the people of their community as well and do some good for people.
