For me, the short film shows about the issues between the son and her mother. The mother lacked time, attention and effort to be with her son. In the video, I realized that metacognition takes place not just in academic related activities but also in different types of intelligence that people have.
The video shows how a child who is in another person's eyes is silly, energetic and etc. has a very broad imagination that only a few people can appreciate. First of all, the short film was a joy to watch. As a theatre person, I would like to acknowledge the film's directions. I like how it gave subtle real-life reflections that was presented in a comedic way. With the discussion that we had today, I've learned how to overcome the barrier in learning when it comes to language by creating a plan. My take away in today's inspirational video from Ma'am Sabrina is that being a teacher can have a big impact into the lives of their students. In particular, the student that said that he wanted to study in that particular school just because of the field in there and surprisingly the student got into that school. Think about it, what if Ma'am Sabrina didn't bring that student into that school. I realize that even though I don't really plan to be a teacher (I don't expect to be a good one either) but I am really looking forward to have an impact into the lives of the students that I'll handle into the future.

My overall takeaway in todays lesson, first I feel at ease knowing that at least some people knows or appreciate the profession of being a teacher. It makes me feel better because it never occurs in my mind that I'll take this path, I even said to myself that after graduation I might just do office work instead of teaching. Suddenly, pandemic came, everything change, and I even become more unstable emotionally, mentally, and physically that it reached me to the point I stop exercising that why I feel easily tired these days, (to give TMI, I was once had the healthy body among my siblings and even now, but it is just on the appearance, tbh, my health drop when I was in grade 5, nearly confirm to have dengue) and I even think that I might not be able to overcome these challenges because I becoming more weaker than I expected to be. Specially when you ask us to answer a form and there I found myself deeply thinking to what I want to write in the prayer request. That's when I found out I really loss myself, it feels like I'm just walking not minding where will I go or will I go that far to reach my dreams and goal. It hurts a lot thinking that these things happens to me, at some point, I still dream and keep hoping, it written in my name, Leonora means light. Then, after this lesson, those inspiring story of other teachers and even those people that God sent to help me and my family to be able to provide things needed in new normal; the glimpse of the light was once again lighted by Him. Right now, I have this goal in me, that even if the future might not clear to me, I still want my goal of helping those unfortunate people around the world who can't go to school to have the light inside them to be turn on. I know to myself that I am that the best teacher in the world or the best teacher they have, and I don't even want them to remember my name or even details of my life. Rather I want them to remember to turn on the light or help them to turn on the light of others. To end this, I'll leave my quote in life this 2020 version of me.

The struggle, effort, and will of the contestant to compete despite his glaring flaw that he's not aware of made it so like it is not possible for him to win. This is where support comes in, his mother, sister and the coaches made a great job out of Aaron, removing most of the flaws within a matter of weeks, even with the grit shown by Aaron, winning was just out of reach. Bested by his foe, he came out better, prepared, and this time rocking the language of his country came out on top.

It has been a common shortcoming of the Filipino people to have an "f" and "p" speech defect when it comes to speaking. The short movie was able to showcase one of these cases efficiently and heartwarming at least. Even the child's mother took a humorous albeit role in preparing him for the competition. I have been studying for 16 years. We started in primary and up to now, what I can notice is that many teachers commit the mistake of looking down on their students. Language became something different as I listened to the discussion and read the materials being sent before. Because of the new learnings and characteristics that I've knew.

It is an amazing experience that a student like me can apply to the real world as I finish this semester. I still have long way to go but this path and the lesson has helped me a lot to understand more of my future students to analyze the beginnings from the language they would talk until the knowledge that I will pass to them. The Laws of learning became an establishment to me as a future educator not just to my future student but also to my future subordinates. Teachers encounter multiple learners inside a classroom and each of them has different ways to adopt learning. With this, the laws of learning offers several means to help teachers to handle every student efficiently. These laws are done to be supplementals to the instructional strategies of a teacher and conditioned their students as the learning process goes on. It is also applied to have greater impact of the lesson to the students as they engaged themselves on learning. Laws of learning was developed for each domains of learning be given more attention so that the knowledge acquire by the learners will last long. In our primary years in school, we may not notice these laws applied by our teachers but it was present in small gestures or things that we least expect it to appear.

Learning, by definition is the process of acquiring new understanding, knowledge, behaviors, skills, values etcetera, and to make this process more effective, there are laws of learning that teachers may utilize as the learning process goes on. From the discussion, I've learned that these laws and their corresponding conditions must be present for an effective and enhanced learning to happen.

Personally, I can say that these laws are very effective for I myself have experience these laws as a student without even realizing it. For example the drills, reapeted trials and practice with the alphabet that we all encounter and do as child was actually a condition of one law of learning which is the law of exercise. Thanks to this law, now we were able to master the alphabet and move on to a more challenging part of learning and so on so forth.

There are various laws that we can apply during a class. The laws of learning enable us, educators as well the learners to create a better environment for productive learning.

The laws mentioned can also be combined depends on the strategy of the teacher. Last semester, one of our professor applied the law of intensity and challenge (it really sound so scary). In that course, we are tasked to do a research and upload it in a research publication. Publishing our work online is very unusual to us (especially most of us are not confident with our work). The requirement was more intensified because each group only composes of three members. Sadly, we are not able to finish this requirement due to pandemic.

As future a educator, these laws must be tattooed in our craft, like laws applied in solving mathematical equations, like the laws that is applied in physics.

Once I was told about Learning is a constant line that never go off its course, some lines are thick some lines are thin, and it has different length and some day it'll go thinner and thinner as it goes. I remember what Maam Erli said during the last discussion. She said, "Teachers need real feedback" and "The students need our effort, as teachers." I wrote it here in my note because I believe I need to remind myself of these words. That I, as future educator, need to understand that no matter what I do, it will affect my students. So upon learning the Laws of Learning, I realized some things:

The learning of students primarily depends on the teachers' preparation. The reason why children go to school is for them to have someone who will teach them things they need to learn about the world. If us, teachers, come to classroom unprepared, don't have concrete plan on classroom management which the students' learning environment highly dependent, students won't be able to learn in ways they are expected to.

There are lots of ways the students can learn. Teachers must be flexible. We must know what's the most effective teaching strategies for our students. We must meet their needs and know when to adjust our teaching tactics depending on their capabilities. Simply, differentiated teaching/learning strategies.

Students are all different. These laws apply differently to all students. What's working for one student, might not be effective to the others so we must know our student's capability.

Progress is not linear. Lastly, I realized, in the future, we should not pressure ourselves too much if we can't see instant progress to our students. Progress takes time, and our progress as teachers also need time to develop.

We will learn and develop as time passes. We should use our experiences to develop our ways of teaching. LAWS OF LEARNING CAN BE APPLIED TO US, TEACHERS, AS WELL because we are continuously learning and improving. We should try to use these laws as guide for our own learning, and our students'.

During the time when the discussion was underway, I tried to visualize in what activities do these laws of learning are actuated. When I was given the different examples correlated to each laws, it dawned on me that although they're separate in label, they're closely interlinked in their applications in activities.

Besides this observation, I'm astonished that these laws were actually existent as I often believed that the namesakes they have were common sense in the classroom given they are always the mentioned qualities in earlier discussions on how an instructional media should be. However, from this discussion, I finally recognize that the fact they are existent, which means a clamor for them was once sought, and they were made answered by Edward Thorndike.

To be frank, these surface knowledge that I have come upon is the only thing that struck me as fun as I didn't know them in the first place and I found it funny that there were actual existing laws about them. However, I finally understood why they were existent as I reminded myself of a truth in science: something always has a starting point. Further down the road, rather than fun and mockery, I was inspired on the idea on how these laws of learning I recently knew can be dissected from the different kinds of activities I have gone through and what shape and form could I mold these laws of learning in different subject matters.

In venturing forth in this new discovery, and understanding that their nuances is something I must consider in teaching others, I quake in anticipation on what path this will take me. It is something I look forward to.
