If not, teachers should reach out to their principals or school district and advocate for student access to technology. If there is a low amount of devices available in a school district, I believe districts should reach out to tech companies who can provide those devices in a timely manner for students to use while distance learning is still the new norm. If internet access continues to be an issue, school districts should continue their efforts to gain high-quality internet access to students by reaching out to more internet companies who can provide that for them. Having computers in general for student use in the classroom is important for in class instruction, but it is vital now that every student have access to technology and internet access to complete their assignments. No student should have to fall behind because their school or district isn't able to provide them with the basic tools they need to succeed. I think that districts should be talking with their higher ups and that this matter should be taken to the city, the state and to the president himself. It is a basic necessity that needs to be treated as one.
