The writing says, "It's almost here. The date I'll never forget. The anniversary of the day they killed her. And now it's the day I'll kill one of them." This book is about Fender, Linnea, Lucas, and Kate. They are celebrating Kate's birthday in a hotel, but they refuse to speak about what happened last year. But somebody else knows about what had happened last year, somebody who wants revenge on what happened last year. So that "somebody" is leaving messages at their hotel door. When he was alive, he was a very smart kid, good grades, never late, listened to his mom. He had passed away and now his mo cant stop crying. And his grandmother. His grandmother is trying to stay strong for the mom can stay strong but its not working the grandmother seen the mom crying, put the mom in her arms and then they both started crying together. The boy is looking over them hugging them too but the boy know they cant feel him and it hurts him. Also the boy don't like seeing his mother crying like that he just wants to tell her everything is OK and tell her that he is OK. It hurts him seeing his mom cry like that. It hurts the grandmother seeing her daughter hurts like that. In the begging of my book Greg was talking about the journal that his mom got him but it says diary on it so kids in his school would make fun of him. After Brenton told all of them they all used the homework machine together everyday after school. Their teacher Miss Rasmussen started to get suspicious about them leaving school everyday together and they were never friends before they found out about the homework machine. Their teacher started to ask questions because Sam and Kelsey don't do well on there homework, but after they started hanging out with Brenton and Judy they started getting A's on their homework. Miss Rasmussen thought they were copying off of Brenton and Judy but they weren't, they were using a homework machine that Brenton made.
