Once my mom got the call from Toyota she was in pure joy while I was on the verge of tears.  I did not  want to start a new school or have a new house. Although I was heartbroken I had to be strong for my mom because it was something she wanted and deserved. 4 years later I have the best friends, the best teachers and the best opportunities I could ever ask for. I am so beyond grateful I moved.

How does this relate to the theme? 

This relates to the theme because it evaluates the struggle I felt while moving to a whole new place and perspective. I did not want to change and I was afraid of not liking Texas. 4-5 years go by and I love it. What I have realized during these past years is that people can be harsh. They can be really mean for no absolute reason. I tried to fit in with the crowd but soon came to realize that I was with the wrong crowd and it was never me just being me. After realizes how tiring it made me feel I decided to hangout with the people who actually and truly cared about me.

How does this relate to the theme?

This relates to the theme because it illustrates the struggle and hardships I had with fitting in. I felt that it was easier to just be someone I wasen´t just to fit in with people who did not even truly care for me. I realized and found people way better that care and that will stand up for me.
